Warranty & Product Care

Warranty Coverage

Where a manufacturer warranty applies, its duration, conditions, and remedies may be displayed on the product page, packaging, or accompanying documentation.

Cricgears.com will also respect mandatory consumer guarantees required by applicable law.

Manufacturing Defects

A manufacturing defect is generally a fault in materials or workmanship that existed when the product was supplied.

Examples may include:

  • Incorrectly assembled components
  • Premature structural failure caused by defective workmanship
  • Missing essential components
  • A product materially failing to match its description

Whether an issue qualifies as a defect depends on the product, its age, condition, usage, care, and manufacturer assessment.

What Is Not Normally Covered

Warranty coverage does not normally include:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Surface scratches or cosmetic wear
  • Accidental damage
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Incorrect sizing
  • Unauthorized repair or modification
  • Damage from poor storage
  • Water or moisture damage
  • Excessive heat exposure
  • Damage caused by animals
  • Damage during customer-arranged return shipping
  • Failure to follow care instructions
  • Use outside the product’s intended purpose

Cricket Bat Care

Cricket bat claims may be refused where damage results from:

  • Failure to properly knock in the bat
  • Insufficient preparation
  • Use before preparation is complete
  • Use with unsuitable or excessively hard balls
  • Yorker damage
  • Toe damage caused by impact with the ground
  • Edge damage from normal play
  • Moisture exposure
  • Excessive oiling
  • Failure to use a toe guard where appropriate
  • Storage in extreme heat or cold
  • Unauthorized repair or alteration

Minor surface cracks, seam marks, indentations, or edge wear may occur during normal use and do not automatically indicate a manufacturing defect.

Protective Equipment

Helmets and protective equipment should be inspected before every use.

Stop using a product if it has:

  • Sustained a significant impact
  • Developed a crack
  • Become deformed
  • Lost structural integrity
  • Developed damaged straps or fasteners
  • Reached the manufacturer’s replacement date

Never modify a helmet or protective product unless the manufacturer expressly permits it.
